...or fall on my face?
Does anyone remember what we decided about making trim out of plywood?
If only I knew how to use the search box!
I did not use the search box, which would have been easier: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...ood-36971.html
Marine-grade seems to be the way to go. The site I linked in that thread does not have an order form, nor do I see anywhere how much they charge to ship, but I said they charged $200 for a 4x8 sheet. The top result is $153 for 3/4". If it is $200 for shipping and I ripped one board into 4" pieces, I would have 96' of trim.
The Arcimoto looks cool. Weird how that is off-topic with this message.

Many semi-hobby sawmills in Arizona. They would h ave full 1" lumber and just need planing which some also do.
Marine ply is just a different waterproof glue and no voids. Exterior ply would be fine for your trim, just prime before painting.
Back to the Arcimoto subject matter.

Right. Exterior is in the name.
Edit: I figured that I would need to use putty on the edges and sand.
Didn't someone in addition to freebeard say they were buying an Archie, someone willing to pay extra?
Edit: I swore that someone said they were purchasing an Evergreen, but I scrolled back to the announcement, and did not see anything.
Sorry, eh?

Ah yes. I blocked out the person who derailed the thread. I have dibs!
Edit: I look forward to learning far more about the Arcimoto once we finally have an owner!

What time are people aiming to attend? My trip, if I can make it, might be pretty short, and my real interest is to meet you folks and ride your wave of enthusiasm.

Yeah that was me. I qualify for the full $5000 rebates so it comes up as $3000 extra - which isn’t bad as it has much needed doors (I hate wet feet), a lockable trunk thing plus extra battery.
We framed the inside and outside windows of our house with softwoods. For both, we used a jet drum sander purchased on craigslist for $400 to size the thickness of the wood. It can easily do 1/16th at a time even on hardwood. Never touched the dewalt planer afterwards. We also made all our kitchen, bath, and builtin cabinets from eastern maple using the same drum sander.

The hours are 11 to 2.
I talked to Eric Fritz the Marketing Lead about how if I could walk into their office and put cash down, then I'd get a share or two of stock so I could attend the shareholder meeting. He said he'd talk to the COO, but I don't expect that to happen before Saturday.
I was hoping there'd be time to adjoin to the World Cafe (right down the street from Arcimoto's rental location) to discuss which Democrat should get to debate the incumbent.

Ma'am, you prefer the drum sander to a planer? I just bought one of the latter.
