In 2017 I bought a base AWD Subaru Impreza for $20k with automatic. After rebates (both) the Arcimoto will cost $14,900. They are not the same class of vehicle but I’ll be interested in long term reliability and how many parts you have to throw at each one. For the car, the oil and filter costs $46 alone each 4 months. Looking at new tires already next year. I know our blower motor will fail (they refuse warranty but it’s obvious the sleeve bearings are going bad). Not sure what there is to maintain on the Arcimoto but I’m certain it is far less. I suspect the tires will last longer as the vehicle weighs almost 1/3 my car. Maybe replace gear oil in several years? Brakes?

The FUV in round numbers is 1/3 of 1000lb per wheel. A 36 hp Beetle [with 145s on the front] is 20% (front/rear weight bias) of 1800lb. So 333lb vs 360lb.
They should last very well, depending on the wear/traction/economy triangle.

My 1985 FWD Subaru GL wagon went through 13” tires like it was going out of style. It only weighed 2200lbs curb weight.

I saw a Twizy in an electric vehicles show recently. Had an ICE-powered version been available, even though it could only fit something as small as some motorcycle engine up to 250cc, I'd actually consider owning one as I can't depend on EV charging.

It reminds me of the 2011 VW NILS.
Both single-seaters, like this thing (I can't remember what it's called and the file name is no help):
Storage is a problem. I want an FUV with the trick double-folding rear seat, but I guess they only made one of those.
They like to chat about a four wheel (drive and steering) version, but they have a lot on their plate right now.

Arcimoto Special Event 9.19.19
I got an invite; don't know if one is needed.
They're showing a 4-door version (of a 2-passenger vehicle??).

Arcimoto is finally in production and shipping to customers:

The special Arcimoto event is held today, I'll guess more info is forthcoming

Does Arcimoto have any rivals? If they did, the rivals could buy me an Arcimoto just to make it look unreliable.
