Thanks for the heads-up.

I'd been wondering how a Version 2 FUV would distinguish itself from the Aptera. This provides an interesting distinction.

I wonder what is implied by 'micro-mobility'.

I spend tons of time in the back seat. The wind does blow your hair forward. That is why I wear a beanie knit cap. Problem solved. My cap was given to my son as a present and he refuses to wear it. So it didn't even cost me a dime.

Good for you. I still don't seem any closer than when I threw down the deposit. My reservation number has been surpassed, now all they have to do is hit their target price point.

Were I to be an owner, A full boat tail would follow close behind. And It would add only 2ft to the overall length. It would be as long as my Baja Beetle.

The other thing is I wouldn't mind a full helmet for the freeway, not downtown. They come with Bluetooth speakers and their own rear-view mirrors.

2 foot extra length and it is really hard to see when backing and there is less ease of parking. I often take parking spots others don't want because it fits. Not a freeway vehicle so I think extra tail would be money wasted. Yeah, I do 55/65 on the highway but it would be limited in distance anyways. I doubt your tail would add enough aerodynamics to make it worth it. They won't hit their target price point anytime soon. My guess is never. The bluetooth speakers are only for music, not phone calls. My son says directions do come out of the speakers. The rear side mirrors are usable, but very small, low, and distorted. Which is why I have a backup camera to view what is going on back there.

Echoing my thoughts there. Without full doors ahead of it, it seems highly unlikely that it would do much to smooth out airflow - and do paltry little for normal intended use.

It's funny though upon weeding through the naysayer comments about the FUV on youtube, with some saying a golf cart is cheaper. Clearly they don't live in an area where the only routes across major obstacles like rivers require highway speeds! Arcimoto obviously understands that well, which is why it was one of the design parameters they settled on at the outset.

Did I mention I think I know how to make their abandoned Eagle door concept to work? It needs to slide back and lift similar to a minivan side door.

The boat tail would be part of a body kit that included a nose with a Cyclopean light and full wheel pants in [simulated?] planished aluminum. Following Chris Runge or Randy Gubb and 1930s Art Deco.

Ya gotta have a dream.

First was the tandem seating. This is another step.

The first few minutes of this, Mark Frohnmayer explaining why he started Arcimoto, is golden!

Interesting to hear him say almost exactly what I did in my last comment: 'Golf carts don't cut it!'
