Oh really? Yeah I was just thinking about whether or not that would count as importing it. I guess it depends on what you need to scrap it, if the title has to be in your name that might make it difficult.

You just need to title around here. I would have to check with the scrap yards whether it matters if its a canadian title...

It probably wouldn't matter, but I'm not sure.
Well bad news from my end... I won't be making it. I was really looking forward to doing this with the Neon and really test some of it's recent mods but that won't be happening. As far as picking up the new car, its too much extra hassle to deal with changing the title, getting my own tags etc on a Saturday, or give Power of Attorney for someone else to do it, then wait until monday to bring it home, etc.

Sorry guys, it sounds like it is going to be a great event, hopefully the weather and everything cooperates for you, should be a great day and good luck to you all. I can't wait to see some pictures and hear some results!

12 miles at 24 mph, a gas hog would use .2 gallons, Ken's Matrix about 2 1/2 cups. I don't think the pump click would be accurate.

It's Bens matrix . And I think you are right. I would use so little fuel it would still be in the filler neck.

Sorry, I meant Ben's Matrix. Just the gas that left over in the pump nozzle is a significant error. Maybe taking the trip average on the scan or ultra gauge, if so equipped, would be better, otherwise some device would need to be conceived to meter the topped off fuel more precisely as it is added. Maybe a dipstick that measures the height of the fuel in the neck.

Dip stick doesn't seem like it will work too well, but if the fuel pump does not work, then using the scanguage will have to be it.

I know my scanguage is often off by about 2 mpg, and my wifes is off by roughly 30%.

Scan gauge is not very accruate on a handful of cars, especially when you start looking at cars with lean burn. I know when i am in lean burn cruising at highway speeds in 5th gear, it shows 45-48 mpg, but that is really understated.

On my car it's within a tenth or two over 13 gallons. I keep it calibrated conservative so I always get the mpg or better then what's shown.
