None of my cars are supported, only for late models I guess.

Doesn't support start/stop for my 2011 Durango or my 2012 Mazda5.

So right now, it won't save me any fuel...

Has anyone found a car that IS supported? No luck with mine either.

Not that I'd buy one anyways... I already have Stop/Start technology on my Civic: a kill switch.

Mrs. Spif's 08 Impala is supported for stop in park and something else, but not ecostart. My Focus is supported on even less features. Seems like a great idea, but need more supported vehicles, with so many new cars coming out with start/stop tech they need to add it to older cars as this tech will only be viable for a small group of cars that are losing numbers by the day.

2013 Ford F-250 is supported on all features btw.

With EcoStart, the driver brings the vehicle to a stop with their foot on the brake, then makes a slightly deeper press to command an engine shutdown. By slightly releasing pressure on the brake, the driver restarts the engine. A Voyo restart is fast, efficient and clean and it all takes place while the transmission remains in Drive!

With my factory S/S car, I stop (the engine cuts), put the trans in first, and lift off the brake. The engine restarts when I dip the clutch. I think I'd find holding the brake (harder than was needed to stop the vehicle) tiresome in a manual, I normally just rest my foot on the brake just enough to stop the car rolling. I'd also find slightly repositioning my foot on the brake restarting the engine really annoying.

I wonder if it at least forces the ECU into closed loop on restart? My factory S/S stays closed loop on S/S restart, but still goes open loop if you key off.

I find the whole idea completely pointless for myself. But for anyone out there that's a little interested in saving some money or doing environment-positive things without investing too much change in their own day-to-day behavior, this could be attractive.

Here on the EM forums, I think this product will fall with a dull thud, no bounce.

The brake pedal is also used by some factory systems. BUT it relies on the driver keeping their foot on the brake pedal throughout a stop. And (in the UK at least) it's taught that it's bad practice to do that - you should use the parking brake.

But I just despair at the thought that 'it all takes place while the transmission remains in Drive! '. This could really have used a sanity check for reasons which I hope are obvious.

I hadn't heard of this before, why is it bad practice? Seems like switching back and fourth could be a greater potential hazard

Apparently, it's not obvious and I'm insane. One of the reasons I added an auxiliary starter button was to allow me to restart while in drive.
