Comparing sports to capitalist distributions of wealth, really does work, showing the miserable distribution of wealth, between workers. Sports is piling all the wealth on the winners, but will not pay the underlings properly for their competitive efforts. Some 2nd placers in 1500 meter runs got short shrift, even tho they may have crossed the finish line only seconds (less?) behind. Competition is getting so intense, that some marathon winners have marathons only seconds ahead of 2nd placers. Sports advertisers, making trillions, are getting free wealth, by not being forced to pay all professional sports people at a much less ballooning rate, which turns a few athletes into kings & queens, but many others into paupers.

It is crazy that lowest rung tennis players, who sometimes beat top 5, 10 or 20 players, have to live out of their cars (parent's car), & can't afford a room, coaches or other support. Yes, advertisers must properly pay for ALL the competition, which is causing exciting, want-to-watch sports campaigns.... even in the first rounds.

The same occurs for workers of the world. Workers, who risk their lives must be paid properly. India & companies, make lots of wealth, de-constructing ocean-going ships. In these tragically dangerous jobs (can't call them careers, because so many people die), two people are killed & many are injured (permanently?) FOR EVERY SHIP DECONSTRUCTED. Yet, there is little compensation to families for lost wage earners or permanently injured workers. Other workers fill the world with tragedy, with no help, when capitalists bury workers with work & death.

But my post is below & that's what should have made you mad:
"Sounds Longshore Union. Harry Bridges kicked the mafia out of the west coast & then the East Coast kicked the mafia off their docks..... no wobbling, & straight forward ILWU. Other unions & workers want to join ILWU. Is freebeard getttttting the double wobbbbbbblies?"

The workers of the world were named Wobbly by capitalists, to demean them. I just said the ILWU set up workers to be just as powerful as capitalists.

Appears that is what made you mad. At least, it should have, not some quote that got changed, but didn't change your meaning.

And you didn't mathematically quote properly, not just once, but three times. & your third mathematical mis-quote was your greatest error. I told you that already, but it is obvious you don't understand mathematics. Mathematics is hard for AGW deniers to understand. If they understood mathematics, they wouldn't be AGW deniers.

You are totally misreading the IPCC report.

We are seeing even more accelerated warming than we thought.

It voided it of meaning, in a demeaning way.

I'm over it now.

It would appear you are totally not reading the ipcc reports at all.

The structural underdevelopment of the South is not only rooted in a history of colonialism, racism and imperialism, but also in contemporary production chains, economic power relations and illegal financial flows. There is no such thing as economies at different speeds. There is only one world economy with a hierarchical production process and differentiated labor conditions. Through global production chains the accumulation of wealth in the Global North is intrinsically connected to pollution, low wages and even violent conflict in the Global South.

Investment and charitable giving has to come from retained earnings.
Perfect example of machines displacing skilled human workers. One CNC machine is now doing the work that used to be done by several machinists. Automation displaces human workers. Creating a surplus of labor. Which places downward pressure on the leverage that the remaining pool of workers has in order to demand a higher wage. Overpopulation and globalization does the same thing by shifting production to a location where people literally "will work for food". Resulting in the average world labor pool experiencing downward pressure on wages. The "owners" of the factory take an even greater share of the profits and the workers get less pay with less leverage to demand a raise.

This is all very basic free market capitalism and should be easy to understand by anyone.

Nah. I'm sorry the quote came out wrong. But, the wrong quote did not void my text. The power of the ILWU cannot be voided, whether you want to admit your Wobbbly quote, was capitalist blasphemy, or not.
