You can get snapshots of the site at various times via the Internet Archive. Find a subforum index, and you'll be able to look at thread views.

It's up there in terms of replies, that's for sure. Still, I'd be happy if it didn't exist here. May happen yet!

There's no doubt general interest in the site's core topic is declining, going by visitor stats. It's been the trend for years. Last month, our Mirage forum beat EcoModder in terms of posts & general traffic for the first time ever. Happily, there's no AGW thread over there!

I gave 'Advanced' a try, with this result. In both cases it took me to Permalink #1. But it gave dates so I searched manually. One was a lament that Search wouldn't find the original post.

I predicted it when litesong showed up. A high point for me was when aerohead posted Permalink #2931 although he fell back later on.

The overall traffic is possibly attributable to the success of hybrids and EVs. EVTV had to declare victory and move on to powerwalls when EV conversions lost out to production vehicles.

It's been a while since we've seen a new full boat tail on a Metro. I returned the XFi I was driving as a loaner, but I may buy it yet.

I link to ecomodder posts on other forums all the time. The brightest, most reasonable people are on this forum.

Still unsure if LS was real life, or an extreme right-wing operative. That was interesting.

Looking back at the discussions about the Antarctic ice sheet gaining or losing mass, the 2015 Nasa study that suggested ice gain has been debunked.
Followup studies using precise satellite data found the growth areas only accumulated 1/3 of the mass the study suggested and the actual local gain is less than the loss elsewhere.

See https://www.forbes.com/sites/kevinan.../#205625b47030 for a detailed analysis of this case.

If I duckduckgo I get endless lists of paid-by sites citing the NASA study but not that it was rebuked. Go figure.

My claim was that this thread was keeping the site alive.

Now off to do confused and ineffectual things.
You attached a picture right?
Go to user CP, on the left side there is "attachments" at the bottom of the left margin menu, open your attachments, click "thumb nails" at the bottom and flip the pages till you see it, click on the "post" link and it takes you straight to the post.
I search like that because I remember pictures.

The problem now is all the choices.
Want an electric? You can get an electric if you want one, want a plug in hybrid sure there's like a half dozen now and they're cheap. Lots of regular hybrids.
For decades we had 2 choices, gas or diesel and maybe a manual transmission option.

I'm glad when I remember it that this site it's still up.

I recently was asked else where how much an effect headlights would have on MPG and was able to look up a test I did myself here 10+ years ago.

I'm a different kind of hypermiler these days.

Thanks for keeping the doors open, boss.

It's controvertible.

edit:
Dropspace resoves correctly again. I suspect they are under a lot of stress-testing.
So the additional continental ice will only increase the gravitational potential to accelerate the glaciers into the oceans,un-corked by the loss of sea-ice off the continent. The article says nothing of ice instability at the lower,sea-level elevations, where temperatures are warmer, and warm ocean water is undermining the 'Threshold Systems' from below.Context!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hang out here hoping a little will rub off on me.

oil pan 4 — That's awesome and I haven't even tried it yet. Now I can tell which duplicate pictures in my albums have or haven't been used. (Now if I could just sort albums.)

That's 20 exclamation points. If it were 17 I could read something into it....

As I said it's controvertible. As I pointed out the late finding is that the amount of land-locked ice was underestimated because much of it is below sea level. Like 2 miles below.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
As it currently stands the system they came up with to fix global warming appears centered around only punishing the United States, no surprise this only really resonates with fanatics and foreigners.
The Dooms day global warming is collapsing as evident with dooms day cultists and the ipcc being at each other throats and the negative effects of the poles magnetic excursion and reversal with field weakening will become the dominant negative effect on humanity. By 2025 people will forget all about man made global warming, with only mentally ill people still clinging to it.
They will blame the spike in earth quakes and volcanic eruptions on global warming, because they obviously nuts.
