So, you are a conspiracy theorist, then.

I am talking about facts, and science.

The so-called permafrost - is melting, and Arctic ice, Antarctic ice, and Greenland ice is melting. Sea level is rising. The ocean is getting more acidic.

That's reality.

Facts are the raw material that human intellect uses to construct generalized principles. Per Bucky Fuller.

A conspiracy theorist constructs theories, a conspiracy analyst deconstructs them.

Climate is constantly changing, with or without the intervention of humanity. It is possible that it might be changing in a particular direction due to anthropological activity, but without that it would still be changing.

This is why it is called climate, and not same old same old.

No, if the water is priced to reflect it's scarcity, you don't have to force people to stop wasting it. They will respond to economic incentive.

I'd price the first x units of water at some low rate so it does not pose an undue burden on the poor, and then charge more for amounts that exceed this. How much more would depend on what would be required to achieve the necessary consumption limits.

The permanent for st is melting?
Good. I would be a lot more worried if it was growing.
Plus the permanent frost had been retreating thousand miles or so for the last 10,000 years.
So there is nothing that will convince me that needs to be worried about.

I'm talking about facts and science too. The fact is the science has been manipulated.

They have been caught 3 times playing with the large scale temperature data. Trying to make it look warmer than it really is.
That beggs the question how long and how many times have they done it and not been caught?

The permafrost is melting. It is releasing a LOT of methane and a lot of carbon dioxide.

It contains about TWICE the carbon that is already in the atmosphere. So, it is a VERY strong feedback loop, that could trigger other feedback loops.

If you're okay with that, then you are not understanding what it means.

Lemmy - we know from the evidence that we humans are disruptive changes. Very rapid changes are very hard to adapt to, and are already causing the sixth great extinction.

Our children will curse us.
