The interesting thing about the coal furnace is it burns everything and burns it completely.
The only thing it can't burn is anything that's small enough to fall through and flow through the ash grates at the bottom.
I have only identified 3 things that do that:
Wood pellets.
Rice coal. And probably rice too, but I don't know know why anyone would burn rice.
Corn, I guess burning corn is a thing in places where you are neck deep in corn right about the time it gets cold out.
Some wood chips can fall through the grates but they flow very poorly, it's not even enough to where I would worry about pulling the ash pan and dumping the wood chips back on top of the woodchip pile.
Wood pellets can be shoveled in on top of woodchips.

Burning corn cobs after eating the corn is not unusual. When it comes to burning the grain as a heating fuel, I have never seen it, even though toasting it to use as a coffee substitute used to be quite common in Pernambuco. I remember seeing "café de milho" at a roadside restaurante when my maternal grandfather took me to know the city where he was born.

If corn stored out doors gets even a wee bit wet internally in the stack, it molds and becomes useless for food of any kind. Will burn.

Coal power is pretty horrible.
Nuclear obsoletes coal.

Fossil fuels making "renewables" possible.
These coal power plants power a factory that makes aluminum and silicon for solar panels....

Why the double post though?
Continuity is lost when there isn't a single source.

There's a wind tubines thread but not wind power; and no geothermal or tidal power threads.
Nuclear is recognized but nobody talks about Chemical Power. Currently the only way to get off-planet.

I figured the source is "Google it" it's a very specific description of what it is and where it is.
I did wind turbines instead of wind power that way it was mostly about wind turbines and not sailing ships, salt flat cars, pumping water, grinding grain, farts into the wind ect.
Coal power juat juat that burning coal for electricity, home heating, making steel, solar panels ect.

It troubles me that people were oblivious when Google denounced their 'don't be evil' motto. Even DudkDuckGo is starting to raise suspicions.

Does not the one subsume the other? What do you think of Robert Murray-Smith's Pelton/Darius project (DDG it).
