Nearly pulling off 20mpg city in my 4x4 truck. Still have a whole host of mods on the table to increase that even further.

Finally got to calculate the average over the last 17 odd gallons or so...30.83 mpg! Half of that was on self blended e20, and used up half a gallon doing "steam cleaning". Pretty much always heavy traffic too, and most of the time on a cold engine with 10w-30, which needs to be changed to a 5w next time...

Not bad for having just about the shortest cruising gear in existence.

Woohoo!

It warmed up into the high 30s and my morning commute got back up to the low 30s!

Put the snow tires on my car.... and my costing distance went from 1.1 miles to .8 of a mile

I was getting 56.7 MPG on this tank with the LRR tires, I bet then snows are only good for 42-45 MPG. I think I might swap them back soon.

Weather here is very nice, getting into the 80's during the day, but the snowbirds are killing my commute. I'm spending an extra ~30 min of driving everyday, most of which is stopped or inching through traffic.

What about finding a place to park where the traffic starts to get bad and biking the rest of the way in? Faster, saves fuel, wear & tear on the car, and you get some exercise! Win win win win.

New tank, 33.4 mpg!
Skipped a highway drive for a twisty mountain road drive where I just slid it into 5th gear and rolled along without touching brakes as much as possible. Speed was about 35mph instead of the 55 I do on the highway, I think that's what made the difference.

Changed oxygen sensors with a quarter tank left, car doesn't smell as bad anymore, hoping for 35mpg this next tank

If the rain stops tomorrow I think I'll tuft test a bit.

I'm really curious to see how this tank finishes out. Did a ton of driving for christmas, including a few nice longer trips, for the last half of the last tank at 58.6 MPG. This tank already has just under 200 miles on it, the fuel gauge is just coming off full. That was almost entirely highway driving at 60-65 MpH, with a real small bit of city driving. That could have been amazing if I drove a little slower and it was warmer though.

Took a three and a half hour drive Christmas day on the 400 and 401...
Set cruise (I know, I know!) to 108Km/h...
Average was showing 6.4L/100km when I left...
5.3L/100Km when I arrived.
Average when I filled up was 5.5L/100Km

I figure not bad for 65mph with no hypermiling techniques!
