Ohh that's a longer drive then. I normally drive Waterloo to Mississauga once or twice a week and usually hang right around 100 km/h, but with longer drives with others in the car I bumped my speed up. I wish I had an instant MPG readout, I'm sure those longer drives are pretty decent MPG.

Big storm over here, quite an adventurous ride in. Still beat EPA highway.

Aaah. After a tank of 25 and change and a tank of 26 and change, it warmed into the 30s today- so going home on the uphill tun I got 29.1. Tank average is up to 27 with a few more commutes left in the tank.

I'm glad that I didn't have an instant MPG readout the other day, -13*C and had a bunch of short trips. It is now unseasonably warm though. Welcome to Canada, if you don't like the weather, just wait an hour.

It was so cold this morning that I didn't bother hypermiling. I just had the cruise at 60 (I was running a little late) and didn't break it unless I was on a big enough hill that I just had to glide.
On the plus side, this morning it warmed up to five whole degrees, so this morning's run still managed to beat the tank's pathetic average.

Extreme cold saps my will to save fuel too. On days like that, I thank Thermodynamics for the heat-shedding inefficiency of internal combustion! Vents aimed at frozen hands, oh wonderful, wasteful engine!

I find in temps under 10f I get better mpg is I hold steady state speeds. P and g has too much drag at cold temps .

I have trouble in the winter, the urge to drive sideways is often hard to over come.
