There ARE trikes on the roads now. Have been for years. Are their accident rates worse?

The trike owners are not the ones I was referring to. More like the young women that think its cute and have never driven a trike before. They will center themselves to the left like a normal car and then oops I guess that left wheel did something as they go flying off the road.

I still think we will see some left wheels surgically remove by few Men and Women.

It what way? (I know it's a 2nd-hand quote) - Air-cooled rear engine?
- Number of wheels per passenger?
- 21 million sold?
More like an Arcimoto SRK with a stinky gas engine.

Development should be suspended and the NHTSA notified until this issue is addressed.

Freebeard, Botsapper referred to that part

It had a semi-complete interior and was powered by the prototype 3-cylinder engine. They noticed the shift linkage was not smooth, the exhaust system unrefined, creaked and rattled, and the engine mapping was not tuned. Also, there was noticeable aroma of gasoline inside the trike.

I know someone with a Can-Am Spyder. She was not allowed to drive her family's cars because she broke a rim on a side street. She wrecked her scooter while walking it. She backed a car into a truck. The one time I allowed her to drive I kept saying things like "Stay in your lane!" "That wasn't a stop!" and she just laughed at me.
She has had all kinds of problems with the trike, but as far as I know, she has not caused any. I believe she bought it new, but it looks like the warranty is only twelve months. We do not talk much, but she had mentioned at least a couple different repairs, the seat cover has huge rips, and someone stole her trunk lid.

I would have respect for them.
But as it is they have wasted most of their money on exec wages and promotion and lobbying.

Elio probably figured that it would be easier to bring on big investors if they solved some of the legal issues surrounding the product first. Who'd want to invest in a product that customers can't legally use (or not without a great amount of difficulty)?
That actually strikes me as a pretty savvy move on Elio's part, even if it did delay the product.
