If viewed on a phone so you can zoom in sufficiently you would see that the rubber window seals were replaced in the original window frames. The “custom” wooden tool makes seating the seals easier without breaking the glass, or bending the window frames.
My friend knows most of the tricks to building show winner VW restorations.

I could see that. I suppose that it's in the position it's used in. Not sure why the bottom is a right angle with the cutout instead of a straight bevel.
And the slit on the hammered end.
And the old paint with new rubber.

My father once had a white SP2 when he was single, but I was not even born at that time. Maybe, had he kept the SP2 and not riding motorcycles, my life would've been different on so many levels. Well, sometimes he still lurks about getting either a Beetle or a Kombi, and I tend to be more favorable to a Kombi...
On a sidenote, lately I've been noticing some B1 Passats/Dashers in such a good shape while I take the dog for a walk.

Still miss my three-door five-speed diesel, but the guy that talked me out of it was after the Superbeetle and I deflected him onto it.
Mexico beige wasn't my favorite color, parked next to the Shantung Gold Super.

This is not a kit car. It’s a super rare failed Brazilian car manufacturer that used Ford and VW beetle parts. Autolatina
