I have a Superbeetle gas tank I could do that to, but I'd hang it from a rafter by a rope to slosh the stuff around inside.

Just A Car Guy: it's fun seeing what cool car owners come up with to show their sense of humor

Who uses washer-head bolts to retain their headlights?

VW electric conversions were very popular at the EV West open house this month.

A beautiful, tattered dashboard in an Adam West Batman fight scene:

Same bus, after defeating the Riddler and righting itself:

A old VW thing with a Tesla motor:

A clean paintjob bus with a modest Warp-9 motor going in (my favorite motor choice):

I'm not so favorable to EV conversions into classics, but I have already lurked about making a hybrid setup to fit into a campervan.

It's a motor swap that can be done with no changes and can be returned back to original leaving only carpet compression marks. So why not?

Better than some of the "restorations I have seen

Range anxiety, and me disagreeing with some political aspects of all this push toward EVs. Not that I would fiercely oppose to someone who eventually wants to get an EV, but I still would prefer resorting to the ICE.

Yeah... I agree... the EV swap is way better than lots of "restomods" too. Ooooo, another loud LS engine swap!
