I guess it follows an approach very similar to the "monovalentplus" employed by Opel on its CNG range. Well, even though in Brazil the up! is available only as a gasoline/ethanol flexfuel, since CNG can withstand to compression ratios higher than what would be safe to use with ethanol, it could somewhat explain the rough starts on gasoline...

Karmann Ghia Eagle

This nice coupe is based on a Ladybug chassis, its braking system is of Porsche origin, the engine is the 1131cm3 "molded foot" decked a Judson compressor allowing it to deliver a power of 50 hp.
25hp to 50hp. Hella H-4 headlights. Cobra-style guppy mouth.

________

Just A Car Guy: I wonder, are these made by the car owners? Or a company that sells decals to accessorize the VW badge?

Just A Car Guy: The Gebruder Verga Coupe was a special body on a Volkswagen chassis, a little space age Coupe produced by a small Carrozzeria or bodyshop in Switzerland in the late 50’s

Anyone else who recognizes the name Randy Carlson?

The one-of-one is at 21:52, but there're old Packards and Fords leading up to it. Pictures on the wall of his other VWs at 6:56.

The 4 headlights give the variant 2 away. Same as the type 411

Basically a Type III body shell with different rear quarters and 411 headlights.

The Gol looks like the B2 Passat/Dasher with a shortened C-pillar. The body lines are very close. Probably a lot of the same stampings.

The Santana was also manufactured in China, Brazil, Mexico (as the Corsar, from 1984 and 1988) and Argentina (as the Carat between 1987 and 1991). In Brazil, the Santana station wagon was sold as the Quantum. The Passat saloon and estate were produced in South Africa for their local market until 1987. The production of Passat B2 in China ended in 2012.
A 39-year production history (1973-2012)? Why can't I find the preformed heater hoses?
