I really enjoy the appearance of the asphalt race cars from the late 1970s that were raced at Las Vegas and Mesa Marin in Bakersfield. One unique feature of these cars was the stretched bottom body panel that extended straight down from the door seam. This style looks particularly great on older body style cars like the Firebird and Trans Am. I have personal experience racing a 1968 Firebird at Mesa Marin in the late 1970s and a 1979 Trans Am in the early 1980s.

As the electric motors of a Prius also have to compensate for the absence of an actual transmission, considering low-end torque, it's another reason which may favor the usage of Prius components on a full-BEV. The same applies to hybrids of other automakers, including Ford.

All Fords would benefit from Toyota components!

Just make them all out of Toyota parts!

Just buy a Toyota!

Considering how so many cars have an Aisin transmission, seems like nowadays the overwhelming majority of new cars have some Toyota into them anyway...

They are available and relatively cheap; somewhat simple to control high revving motor with a 8:1 gear reduction, otoh working good, battery packs, not so much.
Over on DIYELECTRICCARS.COM seems to be tesla fanboys more than prii converters

Good day working on Firebrid stuff. Got the next batch of patch panels cleaned and primed with weld-thru primer. They will be welded in place soon. Then in the evening I worked on CAD models of the custom a/c adapter parts to tie the Toyota a/c unit into the Firebird dash. Below is the first of many 3-D printed parts that I will need to properly route the ductwork from here to there. It will be so very worth it to have properly working air conditioning in that car.

Keep up the great work!

Do I still have the time for a mental break-down before my grad school deadlines?

Which is what I would probably do, but I'm sharing all this info about the Prius in case Bill want's to make this project take even longer
A thought just crossed my mind... If you put a cooling fan on an electric Nissan, is it a Leaf blower?

Would such fan eventually improve performance?
