Yeah, dead certain. I also lost lean burn whenever I ran my hybrid battery too low, it wouldn't come back until I had enough charge to assist/regen or auto-stop.

Hey - I think we can move this thread from "off topic" into EcoModding Central...

The fact you're planning a gear swap to retain good highway mileage qualifies as ecomodding, I'd say.

I've also decided to go with a modded ECU, and will likely play with a lean burn tune.

TSX lightweight magnesium alloy transmission was ordered a few days back. Accord cable throttle body, RSX ECU and harness, 02 Civic Si knuckles, ball joint adapters, harness adapter and clutch ordered. Soon to order a wideband O2 sensor for it so I can tune lean.

EDIT: Going to cut up my fuel filler lines and re-route them, ordered a set of hoses to replace them with.

Hah, and I'm intimidated to check the valve clearances on my motorcycle. When things inevitably don't come apart or go back together as easily as I expect them to, I completely lose it.

I spent 3 hours removing 2 bolts on the motorcycle last week, and 2 hours putting them back in. My CCT lifter better never rattle again, or I'll put the bike in a crusher.

You do not have the option to put a 1.2 lliter tdi engine in there do you?

That would make a truly awesome car.

I believe someone came here several years ago and posted this very thing. I find it hard to justify why I'm not doing this.

~

Out with the old, in with the new! Now that I have all of the original electronics out of the back I can begin remodeling.

The new unit is a shottky diode rectifier (converts 3 phase AC to DC) and Meanwell power supply that can provide a continuous 53 amps DC, more efficiently than the original DC-DC. The Meanwell's internal bridge rectifier is bypassed currently to increase efficiency.

Vekke had a thread about it. He was getting 2l/100 km at 100 kph with pulse and glide.

If you could put the 1.2tdi and keep the battery that would be awesome. And build a bigger pack like robert Murray-smith. That would be my dream car.

I appreciate having seats with removable head-rests - I can close the hatch with an 8ft board inside now.

Laid down some sound dampening and started building up my rear deck. 120 amp breaker protecting the battery, 2 gauge wiring to the front, re-organized the fuse box so it makes sense with the battery relocation.
