Around WW II, small automobile manufacturers started focusing on a different kind of record attempt: the quest for the highest speed with the smallest displacement! Records were broken with as little as 500, 350 or even 250cc.

. A name closely associated with these record attempts is that of Giovanni "Johnny" Lurani, whose Moto Guzzi engined Nibbio(first photo) was the first 500cc car to break the 100 mph barrier (... and more than eighty years later, the freshly restored Nibbio won the Coppa d'Oro at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este (second photo)).

I think there's legitimate reasons for open-wheel cars, so that become a valid question.
Had I an Arcimoto FUV, I'd be adding a diverter to the nose like that to enclose the A-arm suspension. Possibly with winglets to set up airflow around the front wheels.

The profile (minus the open cockpit) would be similar, but the rear bustle wouldn't be necessary.

The regular production series. For the latest battery technology and the new motors, and the trick folding rear seat. Not an open single-seater (that's literally a museum piece).

Eventually, the moocoque shell battery box and drivetrain, and a prone riding position. In a monocoque 'belly tank' body. That one would be a single-seater.



Ignore the trailing bogey axle. Add a blister over the front A-arms.
