Who is paying for The Heartland Institute?

Who pays Willie Soon?

Is Christopher Monckton right on anything?

Oh, and plenty of dark money for the alarmists.

But since we just copy and paste gobs of crap now, maybe I will start pasting blogs in their entirety...

You know it is funded by private and industrial funding. That's legal. This is America, and funneling money to advance political interests is a game both sides can play. You got a problem with that?

Since you decided to play "quote wars", there are two sides to every issue:

'Dark Money' Funds To Promote Global Warming Alarmism Dwarf Warming 'Denier' Research - Forbes

And who funds the NSF?

National Science Foundation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Should we not mention the latest $7.3 billion they have at their disposal?

(We posted the same link almost simultaneously. Originally published in Forbes.)

If that's the battle Neil wants to start, he might reap what he sows...

Heartland is a mostly harmless bunch of right-wing "libertarians" who no more speak for all skeptics of CAGW than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks for the Jewish LGBT community.

Anyone taking Heartland seriously on either side is deluded. Same for all those other odd "Institutes", "Think Tanks" etc.

An example of lobbying, paid for by taxpayers to convince broadcasters to only tell taxpayers one side to convince taxpayers to pay them more taxes to prevent something that might not be happening.

Where is the science that you are depending on to throw out the conclusions of anthropogenic climate change?

Heartland Institute and Willie Soon are funded by oil companies - gee isn't that a conflict of interest?

It has been buried by "activism". We covered this already... plus numerous other examples of incongruities.

You'll need to discount anything from the AGU and their members then as well as they have a similar conflict.

Thank You to Our Sponsors - 2013 AGU Fall Meeting
