Nobody denies that there was climate change in the past. But there were very different causes in all of those; some of those being random events, like changes in the earth's orbit or axis. But we also know that this time around, we humans are largely causing it, and it is very rapid, relatively speaking - by burning fossil fuels and adding carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

When sunspot activity goes up (every 11 years) then the suns irradiance goes up slightly:

Climate myths: Global warming is down to the Sun, not humans - environment - 16 May 2007 - New Scientist

Does global warming mean that winter won't be cold? No, it does not. The climate is long term trends, and overall averages.

Sunspot number is a proxy for solar output, it is not 100% accurate as an indicator of solar output, and factors deep inside the sun can cause high solar output while maintaining low sunspot count.

Direct TSI measurements and sunspot count up until the SOURCE satellite failed were showing this fact. see my previous post.

"Dark Money" Funds Climate Change Denial Effort

http://www.scientificamerican.com/ar...-denial-effort

The largest, most-consistent money fueling the climate denial movement are a number of well-funded conservative foundations built with so-called "dark money," or concealed donations, according to an analysis released Friday afternoon.

The study, by Drexel University environmental sociologist Robert Brulle, is the first academic effort to probe the organizational underpinnings and funding behind the climate denial movement.

It found that the amount of money flowing through third-party, pass-through foundations like DonorsTrust and Donors Capital, whose funding cannot be traced, has risen dramatically over the past five years.

In all, 140 foundations funneled $558 million to almost 100 climate denial organizations from 2003 to 2010.

Meanwhile the traceable cash flow from more traditional sources, such as Koch Industries and ExxonMobil, has disappeared.

WE DO know where the Money comes from to fund the Climate Change Junkies, American Taxpayers.
The World gets together and comes up with a plan to reduce Carbon Emissions and all is right with the World, as long as the US Workers pay for it. Pres. BO's buddy Jeff Immelt, builds GE light bulbs in China after regular bulbs are banned here (lost jobs), and GE pays no taxes, gets millions in refunds...."FAIL"! We could have a gas tax to pay for Clean Energy, but the Wasteful Government has already spent it all, buying votes. The private sector will Design and Build clean energy, as the Demand dictates, no more stealing my hard earned Tax dollars for pet "Fisker Motors", "Solindra", AGores Waistline projects...there is NO money left. But our Electric rates will "Necessarily Skyrocket"...Barack Obama. At least he didn't LIE about that.
Communism Dies...when they run out of Other Peoples money to spend, it's coming, enjoy the show!

Pick one and run with it...
I just read where Obama pledged to spend $30 Billion in foreign countries to fight MCGW, while we ALL know China is the biggest problem. So the President, Prints money which devalues the Dollar (Our Wealth), and borrows money from China...with interest, so he can give it away on dubious schemes.

Keep up - The author of this "study" has attempted to correct the media reports here. His estimates are the monies available to these organisations in total, not the money they spend on climate.

In other words the above can be translated as "don't look behind the curtain children"...

In other news the IPCC has quietly cut it's estimate of warming to 2100 to as little as 1.3 Deg C.
