Totally cool use, there. That's a 50 mpg pickup truck or van right there.

In that form it gets a LOT of pointing & laughing in traffic, I'll tell ya. I'm sure it's on a bunch of facebook feeds.

All publicity is good publicity.

You're saying that boat tail makes your average go down? Say it isn't so.
Maybe with a 3/4 tonneau cover?

Nice to see that you've come a long way on this car since 2 years ago!
Was that half radiator really worth it? Seems a little sketchy...
I think you really need a rear spoiler. The rear of these short FR convertibles like Miatas and S2ks is like 6 inches below the template. Top down might make the usual spoiler that sticks out more in the center work less well but idk.

I've had zero problems with cooling, driving the way I do.
^ This is my peak summer grille opening.
(From: 5-minute DIY: cockpit-adjustable variable grille block (1-way))
You can see how excessive the OEM radiator size is for me. Also, I deleted the AC condenser, so radiator efficiency by area is better than it was before.
---
Filled up on the weekend - best tank so far! A hair over 53 MPG US / 4.4 L/100 km.
If I'd known it was going to be that good (MPGuino resets randomly, so I never have tank data), I would have driven a little faster.

PS: I agree - aero still needs work. I haven't done any mods to the car so far this year, aside from a few more PSI. Brake service, but that doesn't really count as a mod.
