Capitalism hard at work. Just like Chevron buying Ovonics (The company that held the patent for large format NiMH batteries used in EVs.)

Thanks. Samewise. All though I remember you more as a 6ft ginger than half-asian.
Due to my pestering the staff at Arcimoto, I'm two [or three] degrees of separation from Elon Musk. I want him to see my CyberHouse design. I've amplified the teaser I posted here [ somewhere].

Are you daring to imply that privatization can be bad, and that in some industries the profit motive is worse? For shame!
It does seem odd, buying a company that's trying to produce an inexpensive product for the feds, then shutting down that program because it's not profitable. You'd almost think it was going to hurt the profits of their existing equipment lines. Me? I live on a dead end road, so I'm glad the town owns the snowplows. My little street wouldn't be profitable to plow. And I really hope that if I need a ventilator this year it's before the rush.
I know Charles Dockendorff and Robert White probably have ventilators in their basements, but they deserve to need them this spring. Because they're a big part of why many other people who will need them won't have them.

All that I need to do is reread all of my recent threads?
GM: "Good news everyone! We brought back the Metro!"
[opens curtains and shows a ventilator with a Metro nameplate]
Reporter [whispers]: "I bet they are keeping the Cadillac ventilators to themselves..."
Do you think they would hold onto a few in case any of the people needing a ventilator end up needing one?
[Just the executives?]

In the spirit of freebeard, I gave a somewhat abstract response.
It's the Acrimoto thread. Did I spell it correctly this time?

I have concluded, pursuant to Section 564(d)(3) of the Act, based on the totality of scientific evidence available to FDA, that it is reasonable to believe that chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate may be effective for the treatment of COVID-19, when used consistently with the Scope of Authorization of this letter (Section II), pursuant to Section 564(c)(2)(A) of the Act.
Having reviewed the scientific information available to FDA, including the information supporting the conclusions described in Section I of this letter, I have concluded that chloroquine phosphate and hydroxychloroquine sulfate (as described in the Scope of Authorization of this letter (Section II)) meets the criteria set forth in Section 564(c) of the Act concerning safety and potential effectiveness.
