I have never seen a Civic from that era so badly rotted, since we don't have heavy snowfalls back here, neither use salt to clear the roads. Anyway, I have already seen many old beaters with rotten floor pans patched with either random scrap metal sheets or fiberglass.

Saw a Civic with solar panels, tiny side mirrors and LED DRLs:

I suspect he's a member

I also spotted this in the back of a merc:

The whole bottom of the trunk is weight saving plastic.

Found this Subaru Vivio this Friday in front of a gas station where I usually stop to get some ice cream while I walk with my dog to a park nearby.

Guys, I literally looked through every page of this thread, where is that black honda civic (I think it was a 2001) that had a kamback that went from the rear window to the end of the trunk???? It was a cool looking kamback and I would love to do this mod to my civic, but I can't find it!

Quite a funky thing
Funky ?
Butt fugging ugly IMO

I can imagine the conversations @ BMW marketing & design ...

"We'll have to make this one stand out from the crowd somehow .."
"Sure, let's make it really ugly - people think eco cars should be butt ugly anyway."
"There are some utterly ugly cars out there already. Even non-eco cars."
"OK, we'll just have to make ours even uglier then !"
"I have found just the kind of design we need, in a junior designer's trashcan !"
"???"
"I was cleaning out his cubicle after we had to throw him out for illicit drug use on the job."
"Brilliant ! By the looks of it, he was too far gone to remember drawing this !"

I had to look BMW i3 Range Extender up for some images. I think post #587 might be right on the designer...

Saw 5 (FIVE) Chevy Volts on the freeway on a trip to Montreal this weekend. And another one today.

No pic; was driving. This will have to do:

I have only seen one Chevy Volt, once in September 2011 and then in July 2012. Haven't seen any other ever since.
