I keep seeing all these great cars while i'm driving. I can't exactly take pictures at the same time.

Yes I know the feeling, I saw a mint Festiva today, but he was on the other side of an intersection, so unless I had stopped in the middle and hopped out I wouldn't have been able to get a pic lol. I am on a mission now, thanks to this thread (ya, thanks a lot MetroMPG lol), so tomorrow I will try to capture the elusive Smurf Blue Turbo Firefly in it's natural habitat, being down the street from my place. Of course since I have been looking for it, it hasn't been there. Failing that I will at least get a Kei truck or a 1st gen Insight as I know where there is one sitting with Delaware license plates on it. Man that's a long haul in an Insight, in the winter!

Todays finds:
2005 Prius with 43k miles. Pretty clean for an 8 year old car. Prius here are either taxis/security company vehicles with a half million KMs, or garage queens like this that never get used it seems
Darth Vader's Smart4Two
And even here on the Wet Coast, '92-'95 Civics always rot. And if they aren't rotten, it's because the 1/4 panels have been replaced. Whenever I see a VX it's got holes in it. This isn't a VX, but if this isn't the primo '92 Civic for a VX swap I don't know what is. Huge KMs, tranny is really noisy, but that is original paint, and those 1/4s aren't rusty. I took close ups of them, just because I have never seen original paint rust free 1/4s on one of these, and probably never will again lol

I saw a 4-door hatchback Suzuki Swift a few days ago. IIRC only the sedan had 4 doors back there in America...

Well in Canada we had 4 door hatchbacks, but only up to 1995 I think. I don't know about the USA though.

Here is a weird combo. 2011 Nissan Leaf with just over 1000 KMs on it. Being sold at auction by a GM dealer! The worst part is that while we all may dig our eco cars, in the wholesale car business hybrids and EVs are to be avoided at all costs. Too much risk in case there is an issue with them in regards to what profit you could make. This car didn't even get a bid on it, no one wanted it. The auctioneer was fishing for bids around $24000, which gives you a rough idea what the auction reserve was. That car new is $38000 here. That's a big hit to take in depreciation.

Oh and here's one I caught last week. I have seen this car randomly for years, even talked to the guy about it. Now before anyone gets out of shape because it's a diesel lol, let me tell you that it's a 4 speed manual! When was the last time you saw one of those? And as you can see by the moss growing on it, I don't think he has ever washed it since he has had it. The front fenders are rotten, but the rest of it is original paint straight. This guy owns a car lot - if this is how he treats the car he drives, I wonder what the shrapnel on his lot must look like??

I wonder if the LEAFish was traded in for a volt?
