Sprinters are not rare back here, but one with a single-arm wiper is not so easy to see.

Mitsubishi L300, this one had a turbocharged 4D56 backed by a 5-speed manual transmission.

Kia K2500TCI

Hyundai Porter from the '90s

Mazdas aren't my thing. I have an '86 323 sport wagon in the fleet that's kinda neat, but even that doesn't really float my boat. And I dig wagons. But this is probably one of the coolest old eco-ish cars I have ever seen. Yes it's an automatic, but it has 54000 KMs (33k miles). On a 1990 323. That's black, with a grey/tan interior, and has been in a garage all it's life.

I'll leave you with this, it's a close up of the original pre-delivery sticker. That you can still read the ballpoint pen writing on, 25 years after someone put the sticker on. Good grief.

If it were the previous gen (88?), I would have said... buy it! My brother had one of these as his first new car (well technically his second, because the first 323 fell off the lift at the dealership before he took delivery). He'd probably get it for a trip down memory lane.

If Mazda had a museum, this thing should be in it. '80s-'90s eco cars are generally made from tinfoil, and to see a black one this straight (like not a single door ding), and the paint has never even been polished (on black you can always tell), plus no water marks on the glass. That sounds like an odd thing to notice, but when you live in a rain forest you see that car glass always gets some impurities on it after a few years - this thing looks like it has never been rained on. I want to want it, but meh, not my thing. And this is me saying that hahaha. I hope someone that digs Mazdas ends up with this car, it'd be a shame if anyone else did.

bid up to $3500.

I want it just for its minty fresh......everything! It's a time capsule. If I had a car collection this would be in it

That being said I hated the look of that car, still think it has a flabby butt shaped hatch. But you are 100% correct on 90s imports, my civic still has black window trim and wipers. No one ever kept these cheap little cars in garages except for very few exceptions

Yes, it had some mods. Mind you that its stock rear wheels were 12".

it might just be a Mirage

Third local Mirage spotted! (Remember, there's no local Mitsu dealer, so I get excited when I see one of these.)

A lovely snot green specimen spotted at a riverside park, where its retired and very chatty owner was getting her dog out of the back for a walk.

Fun facts: first new car, insisted on manual shift ("small, green and manual" were her only criteria; her son in law actually chose the car).

She loves it and is blown away by the fuel economy. "Even when zipping down the highway at 130 km/h to go visit my grandkids." Doh! Slow down, grandma!

That makes 3 local Mirages. 2 CVT's and one 5-speed, 2 women owners, one man.
