I sold an old Civic to a very attractive girl years ago, I was surprised she was interested as it was a 5 speed, and from my experience it's generally guy buyers that want the manual transmission cars. "Why would I learn to drive and not learn how to drive standard?" she said. I think I actually asked her to marry me at that point haha.

Peugeot Boxer used as a shuttle by Brazilian Air Force

Mercedes-Benz MB180D

Matra CD, this one used a Rover-based Maxion HSD2.5 turbodiesel, the same one formerly used in the Argentinian-made Ford Ranger. Brazilian company Matra was not affiliated to the French Matra.

This one doesn't need an introduction

Not sure if a Land Rover Defender would qualify as "eco", but it has a 6-speed manual and a turbodiesel under 3-litre. And this one, specifically, is used as an ambulance in my hometown.

Fiat Ducato school shuttle

Emis Art, a Volkswagen-powered Brazilian minicar. It had the good old rear-mounted boxer.

I thought "no way, there's not enough rear overhang." But you're right:

Someone should tell Jason Torchinsky at Jalopnik. He'd go nuts. Emis also made a dune buggy:

I met up with BenNelson yesterday after work at a small alternative energy car show. Much to my delight I got to see a very new Tesla Model S P85D sitting there, and got to talk to the owner a little bit. Beautiful car...

They also had a couple Nissan Leafs there, as well as an E85 Tarus and propane F-150. BenNelson also had his Vectrix electric scooter there that he recently converted from nimh to lithium with Leaf cells (I'll probably be posting his videos soon, hes been busy). Here is my other not so great picture.

I saw an Epic Torq ev driving in the wild today. It was all black and the guy was wearing a motorcycle helmet. Probably a rich new yorker visiting the berkshires as there were a bunch of really nice (expensive) cars driving around. A Tesla, and a bunch of sports cars i didn't recognize. Was very surprised to see such a rare vehicle pass 1 block from my house.
