really old cars and a Dodge truck

So I found this old book at a yard sale. check out the 100 year old streamliners. and then there was this Dodge cabover at the truck show. these louvers looked factory made.

The streamliner shaped car is the 1913 Alfa Ricotti
the yellow wedge is a 1902 "General" it was a race car

The yellow wedge falls into the category of it-would-be-faster-backwards. But then, who knew?

Those cab corner extenders on the Dodge aren't mounted like those that supposedly help aero on square-edged forms. So what do they do? Probably cut down wind noise at the A-pillar/leading edge of the door.

I didn't catch a picture yesterday, but I saw a strange looking 1st gen Insight pull into the OSH store in Mountain View, CA as I was leaving. It had been converted to a trike and boattailed.

This poor old Firefly will go for scrap. It's not rusty, just beat up badly, and an automatic, but low miles and when was the last time you saw one?

And guess what I got to drive today? Not far mind you, but still, totally badass. The sound and acceleration of this thing are off the charts.

Was it this car?

Rightfully doomed! (Oh, I'm getting harsh.)

i8! Lucky you!

Would you be less impressed with the sound of it if you knew it was "augmented" through the sound system? Really.

Geez you are getting brutal about the lack of a third pedal haha. And you can tell it's augmented when you drive it just because it hits you in surround sound, it literally sounds too good to be true. But I can forgive it that, that thing moves out!
