Actually that Swift was parked in a no-parking spot, look at the yellow stripe at the sidewalk.

Believe it or not, I spotted this Fiat Fiorino in a high-income neighborhood...

...and this one in a slum...

Asia Motors Towner, license-made version of the Daihatsu HiJet

1st-generation Renault Twingo, this one was assembled in Uruguay (just not sure if the bodyshell was shipped from France or Colombia) but used a Brazilian engine.

Lada Samara that I spotted a few years ago in Pelotas, some 300km away from my hometown

Nice cars/trucks you see there !
Be great to have them for use as experimental F.E.-MPG units
Add a CNG tank here; adjust a turbo there, compose new aero-shell about here....
That would be fun !

I am considering to get some old car and most likely to do engine mods and eventually a transmission swap, but not going so extreme with aero mods. And man, I got kinda shocked when I checked the current prices for CNG in my hometown...

Recovering cattle fart to use as fuel would be virtually impossible, but I was willing to install a biodigester in the farm of some relatives who live near the Uruguayan border.

My right ankle is still hurting after running one block, but I couldn't miss the pictures...

And now, in a picture from 2009, one of the last 2-door taxis from my hometown. As this Opel Corsa C was reaching the 15-year age limit for the taxis by then, that was its last year on the job. Though nowadays is not so usual for taxis to be kept for such a long time. AFAIK it's still running, just not as a taxi anymore.

Compared to an S-10, this Chevy 500 (a Brazilian coupé-utility version of the Chevette) might qualify as eco. The corrugated aluminium box is obviously an aftermarket feature

This Ford Pampa might also be deemed eco if compared to a Ranger...

And they do see more cargo than many redneck ego-hauling full-size rigs would ever see...

For those who ever asked to oneself what an Euro soccer-mom would drive

Fiat Ducato motorhome

And those paddywagons from my hometown, the other one is a 2nd-generation Iveco Daily
