Now FP get busy and see what you can do with real 3d shapes. Make something that can save enough gas after 6 months that it is worth while. No fair cheating and doing something more expensive than you can save.
Good Luck

In all fairness all of the modifications I did were inspired by ecomodder projects. I merely wanted to show people if the car manufactures took those main stream we could have some sweet looking cars that get far better mileage than we get now.

VW Golf/Rabbit Pickup: the best MPG out of any pickup truck, a clean diesel, and it was built here, in America, with American-made dies, molds, etc; but, of course, hold the overkill American engineering.

Mind you, I don't say US, because Canada and Mexico should take some responsibility too.

(not really, mexico has it's own share of strengths and problems and canada has to be one of the most historically powerful military, next to france, while the US had one of the most overkill and inactive armies ever. It still does, operating on huge funds, and making excuses to get oil blah blah...)

The Rabbit Pickup was pretty neat, but I challenge the notion that it is a "clean diesel". It was made in the 70s (maybe up to the early 80s?) and diesels from that era are anything but clean.

Efficient, yes. Clean, no. Also expect to be passed by stock 1956 Bugs, as the little NA diesels from that era suffered from a significant power deficit.

Now get one of those and stick a modern or modern-ish TDI drivetrain in it, and you're starting to get clean and reasonably (or very!) powerful.

I'm trying to learn this program Gimpshop so I practiced on your car.
There wasn't quite enough room on the right of the image but maybe it's ok anyway.
