Now the wheelcovers can be also found at tuneko Ltd web pages.
Less drag = Less fuel | Aluminium wheel hubcaps | Tuneko Ltd
Those went to electric raceabout / ERA. They will participate in michelin challenge bibendum berlin. On my Seat I have one advertisement capsel and one smoke polykarbonate version on each side. They turn people heads quite nicely .

I came across "wheel shields'' that people use to prevent tire shine over spray from getting on their wheels. They might do the trick. There are a variety of styles. Even better, universal ones you cut down to size.
Wheel Shield Tire Detailing Tool | Made In Michigan | Michigan Made Products and Gifts
These don't look as nice, but they do appear to be cheap. 3/$20 + $6 shipping. Possibly cheaper elsewhere, and they may combine shipping when adding a single cover.

Certainly not as perfect as a plastic copy of moon eyes style ones, but they are an option I suppose.

@ fusion; I have been doing that for years using a circular cut piece of cardboard. I should have patented that, I guess.

I just remembered that a few months ago I saw a car with flat plastic hubcaps. They looked like normal, not-too-expensive aftermarket hubcaps which can be found in any store, but they where flat and smooth, no holes or anything. Just what I started this thread about.
Unfortunately, there was no visible info about the maker. Also, during the time I was in the area the car's owner didn't show up. And even if he did, I might have had a hard time communicating - the car's license plates suggested it was from Bulgaria. The car had smaller wheels than my 15", it was something like a Citroën AX, Renault Clio, or something of similar size and age (I forgot the actual make and model).
Anyhow, this shows that flat, plastic, hopefully cheap, aftermarket mooncaps are available somewhere, I'm just not yet sure where.

Were you able to tell the price also from the looks?
They might be cheap to produce but when it small segment product they cannot sell it so cheap as the basic hubcaps which sell for million pieces. Reason is that the tooling still costs the same.
Anyway cool find then seach for the manufacturer.

Your brakes are hot if you use them or not. The pads are always rubbing on the rotors. That's why landspeed guys (and at some nascar track) push the pistons back before runs (just remember to pump the brakes before slamming them down). You might consider running higher temperature range brake pads.

errr... not always. One day when I arrived at work (after 10 miles driving) I checked my rotors. They were cool. I touched them. They were cool. I grabbed and held onto them with my bare hands. Nice and cool. I think I can get by with minimal airflow through my wheels.

It seems that Górecki ( Górecki Sp. j.) has manufactured them and sold them as type "ARROW" under their ARGO brand.
They are still sold here ( Poklice ARROW 13 - VAPOL CZ, tažné zařízení, výfuky, autodíly), but just for 13" wheels. I cannot find them in gorecki e-shop, so I am afraid they discontinued them.
Could you send them an e-mail? If they still make them, I would definitely buy a 15" set (price is around 10 euro per set). At least it will clarify things.
