That's pretty funny. it'll definitely have to be added to my list of paint job ideas. I really like your latest paint job on the probe. I'm thinking of making my car belong to a top secret fictitious agency also. I'm thinking something along the lines of "The Department of Extraterrestrial Engineering" but for some reason that doesn't make me laugh like the "UFO recovery bureau"

^^^ Looks like something the "UFO Recovery Bureau" would be following!

to start off pick a gain of 10-15% and use that. you could wait for a few tanks but with how little you drive it might take a while.
I'm the same way with web sites. However with my automotive illustration business gaining some momentum I've decided to set up a blog to showcase some work. At least for now, Google's blog setup (blogspot) looks pretty user-friendly. You can do it anonymously, too.

I say go on a small road trip- three hours out and three hours back- just to have some fun and get a baseline tank. Then you can start putting MPG stickers on it. Or for something less permanent use 2" blue painters tape and cut out the numbers- then they'll be easy to edit.

If ALL you boat-tailed or heavily "aero-ed out" guys put the SAME logos on (UFO recovery bureau), with different serial numbers on each vehicle, imagine the hilarity in Washingon as people start calling the government and asking to speak to someone from that agency!

THAT would be the best practical joke. EVAR.

YES! I can dig it. Put the same serial number on, but different trunk and hood numbers. Mine's #72. Someone else can be 14, one can be 36, etc.

We'd have to meet up and drive around the city in a caravan. Stop at the state capitol. Wear skinny ties. Park by a corn field and walk around in a circle jotting notes. Carry neuralizers.

The logos are about 31" off the ground. and the door ones are centered front to back.

I may when I get some stuff on there. For now, it's aeromodding time.

Jim, I'd like to ask you a question. I've been planning my own boat tail based on your design, so what would you change about it if you could do it again tomorrow?

Thanks! Tyler

Is that just flat olive drab?

Why not do it as "Bureau of UFO Management" or UFO cover up bureau, or USAF task force for UFO suppression

just some more "government " sounding names.
