How are you going to support the coroplast on the top (and bottom)?
I'm picturing an aluminum bar from below the deck lid to the rear plate, then (cheap vinyl?) air mattresses, then the coroplast.

Ooh ooh can I join?
I'm still working on it but planning some sort of supports or X on there. Depends how the rest goes. First comes a hoop around the rear end to hold the front end of the plast, then comes the main cross bracing with angle iron. Then some more bracing around the edges to define the radius. Last, I'll see what's left for supporting the top plast.
I can't buy anything more until Friday (pay day) as I don't have much money left.

Didn't get much done today on account of the rain. I've been thinking about the pressurizing-the-wake-with-exhaust-gas theories and wondering if it would actually work... 1% FE maybe? Not planning on doing it, at least not now. But I totally could.

Exhaust in the wake... like base bleed on an artillery shell. ;-) Doesn't much affect the trajectory or velocity but does make the shell retain more kinetic energy.
Boattail bullets enjoy a similar effect on retained energy over ones with the same weight, diameter and nose shape.

Just make sure the rear of the car is sealed well so you don't fall asleep at the wheel.

In the thread underbody-flat-belly-pan-suboptimal-explanation-solutions-offered-23159-new-post.html, MTrenk has mentioned exhausting the exhaust 'above' the diffuser. I keep bugging him but he hasn't addressed it yet. It might work best to add energy to the air before the wake instead of just trying to fill it.
I'm thinking about the relative volumes of exhaust, engine cooling air and the wake itself.

Like I said, not going to happen right now, but I might think about it for the future. Doesn't sound like anyone's actually tried it.
Almost done with the structure.
Since I couldn't build radii all the way to the rear plate, I wanted to maximize the curves early on. You can see it achieves up to a 6" radius on the bottom edges, but only one or two up top. Hopefully it will help pressure differences work themselves out at least a little.
