*Nods in agreement*
Sorry, I would have been here to answer questions last night, but my offspring was suffering from malnourishment, apparently, based on the speed with which he imbibed his nutrition.
*This kid will drink 8 ounces of milk in literally 2 minutes.*

I've been working all week in south-central Jersey and this morning I brought up some 1/4" plate steel for Ben's mounts...not to go too far off topic, but that warehouse place (Fazzio's) that sells steel, aluminum, and pretty much anything related to metal fab...is remarkable. I'd go so far as to call it a must-see destination for anyone even slightly interested in fabrication. It is a HUGE facility and you can get anything you could possibly imagine short of pre-made motor mounts for Insight -> CRX conversion projects. Very cool place, and very inexpensive. Thanks for the suggestion Tygen - I'd give you a thanks if I could find the post in which you mentioned Fazzio's.
Also, the guy who cut the stock for me asked what I was going to use it for. After explaining and plugging EM, he seemed really interested and I had him write it down to check it out.

Taking a break from working to get some food, will post progress pictures soon, but I think it's going well. Hopefully when I get back out I'll be able to line stuff up for the rear mount and get it finished.
Also, the driver's side mount doesn't actually contact the fender, so I'm planning on it normally with just a thin piece of metal, then going in behind and drilling through the fender so the bolt and came through to the other side. Sound about right?

I guess that's what you wanted, right? I can send it out tomorrow or Monday.

Show me the side where the lock actually goes in? It's the hole opposite the one you showed me, need to make sure it's the right shape.

Your welding doesn't look terrible! Better than mine, I'd say.
Did you whack it with a hammer to see if you could break it? :P
