Relax, dude... You'll get it figured out.

Here's what you do:

Remove the B1 wire from the ECU connector B.

Tape the terminal to the + (positive) post of the car's battery, and remove the normal battery + cable.

Be sure the battery is properly grounded to the chassis

Locate the bundle of wires under the hood that the B1 is bundled with.

Check each wire with a test light or multi-meter for voltage at the nearest terminal connector (don't pierce the wires, this brings about it's own problems down the road.)

If you don't get a 12VDC signal from any of the terminals, your problem is between the terminal connector and the ECU connector in the B1 wiring somewhere. Repeat this for anything that you'd like to find a short/open with, unless it's an open ground. If you apply power to an open ground, well, theorize.

Good idea, I'll try in the morning when the fumes from the gasoline aren't giving me a headache

LOL - Gasoline headaches suck... I think I've gotten used to it, though... I don't get them anymore.

Have a good night's sleep, get back at it in the morning, after breakfast and coffee. Thank your neighbors for not complaining about noise/etc. sooner. They'll appreciate it.

Mayhaps, mayhaps. Right now I'm hitting the books trying to figure something out. The CEL light isn't working either, which is a separate issue, so we'll see how that goes

So what does Mom have to say about all this "work" you're doing on your car?

I mean, I assume she knows what you're doing, why you're doing it, and how you ended up with her car in the mean time?

Dude, Sunday is like 5 or 6 days away.

How did I come up with that? Read on:

Each "day" consists of an 8 hour work period, and a 4 hour rest period, either whole or divided into intervals. Since it's officially Friday, and you have to have it done by Sunday to be ready for Monday, you have until midnight Sunday, barring the need for sleep or an early departure Monday.

Figuring as of 2.5 hours ago, you have 24 hours today, 24 hours tomorrow, and 24 hours Sunday, for a total of 72 hours. 72/12 = 6, so there are 6 total work days between now and Sunday.

You've got time... pace yourself, don't rush.

Departure is actually sunday

We'll see, I'm trying not to think too hard about it, really.

So, if you gotta U-haul the CRX to school, then you gotta log the 6-8mpg of the hauler in your fuel log as a penalty for not finishing
