Good idea, I'll just run the wire. All this work caught up with my last night...I just woke up from 14 hours of sleep. The engine should be ready soon, just gotta tack on my last mount, drop the engine, weld it up decently and weld up the hole in the rear crossmember.

Here's a short list of what I need to accomplish:

- o2 sensor plug (where can I buy it?)
- really bendy exhaust (where can I buy tight exhaust bends?)
- o2 bung for the bendy exhaust (where...?)
- hf knuckles
- finish mounting the third mount
- weld the rear crossmember seam
- wire up the brake lights
- turn signal lights
- ima
- route big orange cables under car
- shifter
- clutch
- find bolts for things (where could I get a long mount bolt besides honda?)
- things I'm forgetting

Anyone know where I can get a ~5" long bolt with I think 1.25mm threading?

Good luck Ben! I'll be sailing tomorrow, so hope to read of your successful trip to school when I get back .

(And by "sailing" I don't mean "engine-off coasting in neutral", which is apparently what German engineers have named that driving state, when referring to the redesigned 1L car.)

hardware store? You don't have one left over from your bucket 'o' bolts? (Every Honda owner should have a Bucket 'o' bolts...)

Which one sounds better to you:

(Sexy german voice)

You can save fuel with the ability of "Eeeocccing" (EOC'ing as a word)

or

Our new technology allows the user to save a large quantity of fuel by our new "sailing" technology, which blahblah blahblahblah... blah.

Sailing sounds sexier than "Eeeooccccing" (with phlegm).

Honda used atypically small bolts for the side mount through bolts on the insight. I have about 20 bolts that would fit the rear mount which it's the only one I'm not using from the insight.

I got some from home depot but they didn't list the thread spacing so they ended up being wrong.

Anyway, I ended up finding a o2 plug and bung, but where can I get piping to make a crappy pipe to connect up my two bits of exhaust? I wonder if I can get away with just welding a few feet of straight pipe on the create back pressure and calling it a day. Thoughts?

Also, all the mounts are done, I need to shave a little off one of them but otherwise they're good. When I get the bolts in should I go ahead and tackweld the nuts to the backsides of the mounts? This seems like a good idea to me but there might be a good reason why it's a bad idea.

GO MAN GO,
GO MAN GO,
GO MAN GO!

Just read all 39 pages and am suitably impressed.

I will be rooting for you.

Last time I had something that urgent going on with a car, I had to swap engines in my 62 bug. Started at 5 AM and still made it to church on time. In fairness, that engine was made for that car and all the bolt holes and wire snakes lined up appropriately.

Please carry on and limit the caffeine to the absolute necessary minimum.

This has probably never been done before. Woot.

Finest regards,

troy

I totally forgot that I have a junk O2 sensor for a plug and an extra bung I could have given you....Oh well, looks like you have them already.
I also got a ton of old bolts for Honda motor cycles, probably have what you need. If you get desperate, just call me. It is impressive that Honda used the absolute smallest bolts possible everywhere and just ignored conformity

If you have a m10 1.25 ~125mm bolt that would be great

I spent just now a ton of time searching with no luck
