Hey Ben, wishing you the best of luck when you get back to it. I'm replacing all my balljoints because my neighbor "helped" me by smashing them out with my 3 lb sledge. That separator tool looks great. I got one of these: https://www.upscaleautomotive.com/p-...dacompact.aspx to help put the new joints in and pull the uppers.
How many days would you predict are left till the 2010 IRX concept is drivable?
Here is hoping we are both on the road by the new year.

Well, now that I'm back home I'll probably take my time with it, but I'd like it to be done before christmas.

Anyone local to me have a real ball joint tool? I'm dying trying to get the stupid tie rod ends to pop.

All I got is a pickle fork, oxy torch and anger to get mine off. If any of those three will help, let me know Have you called your local Autozone to see if you can rent it? All you do is pay, then they return your money when you bring it back, so it's actually a free rental....assuming you bring it back in one piece
I'd like to help, this week and weekend are shot, but next week I may have some flexability. Possibly Wednesday night?

Yay! Help from Ty! I really could use some.
I'll try wailing on it more, but I'm trying to avoid spending more money. I might get a mapp torch or I might just try to do everything else and wait up for you. I'm free wednesday if you want to come work!
PS: Autozone doesn't have the tool I need, the one they did was too small.

I've broken tools from them, my local still takes them back. If you buy it, it's got a lifetime warranty on it anyway, so they basically make you buy the one you broke, return it for the warranty, then give them the warranty part. It takes another 5 minutes to sign the paper.

Still interested in helping out tomorrow Ty? If so, and you have any tubing stuff for a clutch MC line, that would be great. You can tell me what supplies I need and I'll get them, but I don't have the tools (though I think I can borrow them from autozone, yippee).
