I had that happen to me, too. Luckily I had a roll of bailing wire and I wired it back together for the return trip (in my Del Sol). The bolts I used for replacement weren't high temperature and very quickly rusted, make sure you have the right kind for that application!

Jedi, I am just using it on my phone as well. Thought the info might be relevant.

Thanks for the input, guys. I was lucky to find anyone at all, let alone a service shop. The FSM's Noodly Countenance hath smiled upon me.

Now time to figure out why the tail lights and instrument lights do not work while the stop lights, turn signals and idiot lights are fine...

Its a problem with one of the relay switches....i forget which one, it happened on my del sol a long time ago.

It was the headlight switch... Got home safely! 44 mpg. Seen in front of a place where I did not buy gas.

The wheel covers are a riot to see on the road. These look like tumbling orange slices below 30mph, and above 50 or so they just start flashing violently! It's awesome.

I have been thinking about a slightly extended nose to get a really, really low stagnation point. Does anyone know if this would be more or less effecive than putting my energy toward a partial kammback/rear window shade? It appears that the nose is a touchy place with which to mess around.

Also I still have yet to update the last couple road trip tanks, because the gas log does not enter properly on my phone.

Last, planning on blacking out the drivers side rear window because I actually don't see out of it at all when driving, and with the heat in the car I'd like to cut down on solar gain. I'll try putting plastidip on the inside of the glass...

I have been researching similar ideas, thinking about an expanding foam removable lower grill insert. From what I have seen, I should only go about as low as the center of the wheel, which is almost the bottom of the bumper cover. Since the idea is to send more air over and to the sides rather than under the car, I would think the lower stagnation point would interact with the sides and back making whatever drag-reduction mods you do (or don't do) there more relevant.

My plasti-dip blanking of the top inches of the windshield gets really hot in the direct sun. The paint is on the outside, but the glass is very hot to the touch inside. I used black. Use a bright color? (The art possibilities would be significant, layering different dip colors on the inside of the glass... I see patterns in your future!)
