It's a good reframe.
My mind-read of Trump is that he wanted to be associated with the biggest life-saving thing in a generation, and gambled on that being Wu-flu vaccines. It worked awesome for a couple months, until it didn't. He's indifferent about them now, but knows his base is mostly against vaccines, so he's got to distance himself from them for political reasons.

He tried to curtail air travel in 032019.
When the pharmas played their hand, it was like Easy Breezy "If your gonna do it, hey I'll hold you to it."

Of course, avoiding a tragedy, or missing out on a huge opportunity is always lost in the calculation.

Old man shouts at phone, ends it with see you next Tuesday.
...and then The Cloud.
An hour in and it's like deja vu.

Lots of repetition in his shows, which is why I listen as I work. He's still beating the dead horse of Covid, fully 4 years later. I wanted less Covid talk about 1 month in.

He doesn't repeat himself as quickly as Alexander Christoforou.

There he goes again....
Episode 2431 at 15:04
'The documentary effect' whence one can only learn one thing: That the documentary was persuasive. The last documentary I watched was:
I'd say conclusive more than persuasive. [also, I think about B-17s more than I do the Roman Empire]

SA provides another example of people not being able to tell good news from bad. youtu.be/Pgyz7bsl3cw?t=850
IF the Winters get warmer faster than the Summers, THEN is that not a good thing?

That's what I've been saying indirectly, that change doesn't imply either good or bad, and that someone saying x will be worse for humanity needs to be tempered by someone saying y will be better. Anyone representing only good or bad aspects of a change while soliciting for power should not be trusted, and be given no authority whatsoever, not even shift manager at McDonalds.
Scott asks "has anyone ever heard this..." regarding warmer colds, and we've been talking about it here for a decade.
