Not really. If you follow the story, a hastily-assembled expeditionary force was used as a human shield by the British. When the Americans were witthdrawn (due to public opinion) they and IIRC the Dutch were wiped out.

Starting something is just a start. Elon put nearly every dollar he got from Paypal (which he also didn't build entirely independently) into SpaceX and Tesla. He saw technology had made certain engineering problems solvable or nearly solvable in a profitable way. What was OG Tesla going to do, sell Roadsters forever? Musk saw that it was a good start, and then filled in the rest of the plan and gave it the cash it needed to take off.

Those are related to the Army training films by Dr Suess, Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc, and Frank Capra and also the training manuals by Will Eisner

Dilbert Goundloop was a doofus, where IMHO Adams' Dilberrt is an M. Mouse everyman figure.

So today Mr. Adams talked about the AI that refused to construct a story around/about fossil fuels being good for people. It delivered a scolding lecture instead.

His conclusion -- AI must be outlawed.

I guess he misssed the part where the followup question was 'tell how an AI would lie about fossil fuel being good for people'. The result was not only excellent, but it pointed to how AI is no match for weaponized autism.
