I know keying off can affect the fcd by not showing the distance traveled in the off position.

I thought of that, but I rarely key-off manually. I installed an engine kill switch before this tank. (And the rare time I did key off, I always go back to on right after the engine stops.)
70 miles in reverse... I think I'd know if I did that - my neck would be sore from looking around!

Ben: Ha! And thus the smack talk begins.
FYI, I aspire to be a member of Team Boat Tails with both the Insight & Firefly (Metro). But I have too many projects (TMP!). Thus the Insight's nickname: Un Finished Object.

I'll be boat tailing soon enough. I've been looking for a good clear plastic for the skin mounted over a diy bike rack-like frame strapped on. Any suggestions?
Right now i'm going from 69.5 - 70mpg depending on where i am in commute over 200miles.

Not in boat tail territory, but my current tank is in mid-58.x mpg territory, a best ever if I can keep it up there.

go to a fabric store and look for sheet plastic, they should have it in several thicknesses and its like 6' wide by however long the roll is It stands up to sunlight reasonably well.
Metro:
send me the car and it might come back with a tail, or i might keep it
I do not smack talk, just encourage people to try their best

You can also get clear plastic at upholstery shops that make/repair cloth cockpit/deck enclosures for boats. Clear vinyl comes in several thicknesses as well.
