You're newly married and your wife's car needs the brakes changed. Your wife asks you how long it will take you to do it. You say you're not sure, but not too long.

As you're changing the brakes, you think to yourself, "That's odd, I've worked on my own cars for years. why don't I know off the top of my head how long it takes to change brake pads?"

Then you realize why: you've never had to change the brake pads on any car you've ever owned!

There's a hurricane coming and a friend has an extra generator. He offers to let you borrow it and you're undecided because lugging a trailer with that generator on it is really going to hurt that tankful.

YKYAEM if...
... Your mountain bike's tires seem too soft at 5 psi above their max sidewall pressure of 40 psi.
I'm just too used to the car's 51 psi and the road bike's 90 psi

Slightly OT - you know the wind was strong when you have a dead fly collection on your passenger door

YKYAEM...if a bicyclist almost passes you while coasting (but no cars were following you, so nobody was delayed).

...and, as the bicyclist passed, you actually briefly contemplated the possible benefits of "drafting" that cyclist, before realizing it wasn't worth the effort.

Slightly OT - you know the wind you drove through yesterday was strong when you find squashed flies on the SIDE of your car.
