What's really awesome is that it did. The first time she spoke up about it, she was proven right.

You know you're an ecomodder, when you are watching the Hot Rod show called Roadkill where they are building a nitrous powered muscle truck, and you can't help but notice the Project Gas Sipper Civic VX in the back!

Inspiring for the future, and probably pretty darn cute
She must have a good teacher.

I figure you're teaching them something every time you open your mouth, so you might as well be aware of that and try to make sure they actually learn something worthwhile.

On Wednesday I was showing her Al's mpg display and explained that it was showing that I could get all the way to work on just one gallon of gas. We're going on a road trip this weekend, and she asked how many gallons we'd burn getting there. I said I didn't know, but we'd be taking the minivan anyway because it's got more space- but we'd be burning almost twice as much gas.

She thought a moment and said "Wouldn't it be great if someone could invent the technology to have more space inside but keep the car the same size?" I explained that they had already worked wonders, and showed the two of them how the seats folded and what kind of cargo space we could have, but that if we wanted all of us and plenty of space, we needed the van. They were both amazed at how much room Al had on the inside.

Sorry for the OT, but are baseball caps mandatory in these types of programs?
