I've only owned one car that had vent windows - each had its own little crank. Not quick-flippable, and I couldn't reach the passenger side of the car from the driver's seat!

EDIT: if I were a race car driver, I would probably appreciate the extra tenths of seconds per lap that today's performance automatics deliver vs. slow, old school, DIY gearboxes.
But... not a racecar driver.
I'd rather not give up the enjoyment and efficiency advantages of shifting my own gears. |
