I count about 50 civics in the ecomodder garage that are getting better than 45 COMBINED MPG! That is counting cold starts and everything.

Hi Bruce,

If you want better highway MPG you can do it for less than $20 ... Just find a way to force the fuel injectors to use less fuel. I found out that mimicking high altitude driving does that. You can try #1 on the link below ... It worked on my 06 civic ... hopefully it will work for your car ... It requires hypermiling driving habits .because you have to live with lower engine power than you are used to now.

Before the changes on my 06 civic my max was 40 MPG highway even with moderate hypermiling. I tried for approx 1 yr of hypermiling. I only got to 45 mpg after the air intake mod. At least I can count myself in that group now

I live in Williamsburg. Maybe one day we can meet and compare mileage and techniques.

My 94 VX does quite a bit better than 45 MPG unless I am going 75 MPH.

I use preheated intake air to reduce the effective density of the intake charge, and seldom does my tach exceed 2500 RPM, even through a whole tank of fuel.

Honestly, I don't know why you are messing with the map sensor without looking at the o2 sensor. I'm not convinced you have a clue as to what is going on with your own car OR driving habits.

We tend to value accurate information here, if I may say so. Given that you are confused about how cars work, yet are selling something at large price, I gotta call spam on this. Also you violated the terms of use by using your domain name as a login name.

After several complaints, I've banned greenfuelbooster, and here's why:

- primarily, for visiting EM solely to sell product, yet not making this clear in initial posts

- anyone selling anything WILL be held to stricter standards than "regular" members; failure to provide credible evidence of claims is a punishable offense!

Actually my IT company wrote software (OBDII data log analysis) for GFB. The software allows one to recreate the real drive time fuel map, graph OBDII data values, generate trip averages. The data needs to be captured by CarChip. The software is free for download. You might find it useful.

function with them ?

VE volumetric efficiency , Graphed "good"



the "client" 's 2006 Honda civic VE graph would not have looked like this
at some point , the intake restriction would have limited air flow and the
calculated and actual graphs would have diverged paths .

when that happened
and Measured Air flow was unable to increase , there would have been no increase in calculated load or fuel delivery , but , the same effect could be implemented with the drivers right foot .

the system would have remained at the fuel trim desired by the ECM , the car just would not have gone any faster . not a desirable modification -

and
there would have been no extra acceleration / power at WOT available for passing or getting out of a sticky situation

VE calculators like this are only really accurate at WOT , up to WOT they provide a comparison that should not be assumed to be 100% accurate .

WOT passes in 2nd gear over 4 k rpm up hill should produce close to 100% calculated load if the MAF is reporting correctly and there are no restriction to flow .
on this graph for this car , VE at WOT is only about 85%
which kinda sux
, see the little graph 2nd from the bottom on the left .
that indicates a restriction to flow , ie clogged cat or air filter or
choice C , something else

how about some examples of the "free" graphing software
showing this very condition ? on your alleged "client" 's car .
