Okay, I'm glad I reread this thread -- it looks like the 15 3/4" or 16" coupe pizza pans are the ones i want. The coupe style is the gentle curved ones; the others (called "wide rim") have a step and and an angled edge -- not as aerodynamically or visually desirable!

If you have a big U-groove on the rim outer edge same method will work than in my FleXcap uses:

Tuneko | Less drag = Less fuel

At least some car rims have enough big groove. I would think that about minimun is about 4-5mm range :/. If there is about that idea might work. You might need to use some stiff material like glasfiber, but it should work the same way.

If you do enough interweb searching you can find aluminum pans from restaurant supplies that won't rust.

Here is a question. When I get my wheels balanced, the outer edge is where they clamp the little weights. Does your system address this? I would think it would be a problem.

On truck you can mill a place/room for the balancing weigth. That piece of plactic does not weigth so much that it would have any difference to steering wheel. All drivers dont even balance their truck wheels, mostly the front wheels are only being balanced. Other solution is to use weights which can be glued with "stickers" or what they are called in english. So the U-groove is free from weigths.

...patent it and start "selling" them!

...when you gonna have them for 16" diameter rims?

FleXcap model is protected for appearance. I did not have enough money for patenting this first product, but the following products will be patented when that is possible.

First are sizes 22.5" and 19.5" which are already ready. Then will follow those front versions of both and then is it 17.5" version. Note that all those are for big trucks. I am not sure if those will fit to your regular "trucks" F-250 etc. The rim diameter migth be different...

And at the moment I am trying to start selling those the best way I can, because I am out of money .

IDK why you would risk messing w/ pizza pans when Moon wheel covers have been around forever and have solved this mounting problem long ago.
BUT, If I was to use pizza pans on alloy wheels, I would drill and tap a hole into the alloy wheel and use a flush head machine screw. like 4 1/4-20 (or M5 if you prefer) would be more than adequate.
messing around w/ zip ties, velcro, or double sided tape is really amateurish IMO and looks really cheesy.

That's a fair question. The Moon-Eye racing disks require drilling, so some people are not willing to drill into their alloy wheels. If you're a trucker that needs to add air to your tires, that's 3 more screws to lose per tire. Also, pizza pans are cheaper than racing disks. If you lose one then you won't lose as much money. Also, the snap-in racing disks aren't cheap and don't work over the long haul (the teeth lose their grip over time and they pop out).

Having just installed pizza pan hubcaps on my Geo Metro I can tell you there are simple solutions to ya'lls issues. First I drilled and tapped 2 holes in my steelies on the inner ring that sticks out, then I drilled a hole for the valve stem to stick through. Lastly, I bolted on the pizza pan using 2 bolts. Because of how short the valve stems are I installed short metal valve stem extenders. The end result is a decent looking pizza pan hubcap with a metal valve stem sticking out for easy access to add and check the tire pressure.
