Funny: I found the last BMW I worked on was pretty thoughtfully engineered.
But that was a 1978 320i.  (Relative's)
It wasn't much more complicated than the horde of VW Rabbits I worked on back then.

Added this to the Mirage last evening. This car's factory body kit (LOL!) required alterations compared to the dam I made for Mirage #1. (Which I kept.)
The body kit extends down about 1 inch at the corners of the front bumper and along the rocker panels vs. without.

I played this video for my daught and her boyfriend yesterday night. It was fun to see Hoovie rag on BMW (un)reliability. We've been working on her car more than we have been driving it! Ha!

That's good looking! I always found it hard to shape well. I'm digging the AluPoly I have now.

Over lunch, simply returned a part purchased for daughter's car on eBay. Who knew that "tested and working great" meant not working at all in real English? But eBay English is a a special dialect, so... got my money back.

This morning, before work... this primer painting with my daughter for her BMW 325i driver side cupholder replacement. Also re-repairing (third time) broken b-pillar trim piece on my civic. Was quick work. She is learning.
Decided to make a sorting and hypermiling thread for her car (no mods).
Back to the work I get paid for, PRONTO!

Made this radiator fan on/off switch housing from the AluPoly.
Drove the car and loved it.
Tinkered with my throttle limiter build, and have it down to 30 to 45 seconds install/remove. Becoming a nice little solid build.
Everything in iterations and re-iterations.

As for me, I have my throttle limiter good to go. It's easily installed and removed and it keeps a constant throttle losition perfectly and safely every time.
Less fun, P0135 and P0141 DTC codes showed up (heater circuits on both O2 sensors). Following the "test, don't guess" principle, I ran resistance, power, and ground tests with my multimeter. The O2 sensors are fine. The wiring harness supplies power but insufficient ground. To the wiring diagram!
