I want their vessel, so more of a capsize event. I'd throw some cheap floatation devices and bottled water to them in trade for their AK weights and ammunition.

Doing some math, because my Dad never made much money either. The $7 an hour he made back in 1990 is about $15 an hour when adjusted for inflation. (Single income. Mom did not work) But the house mortgage he got at that time was $175 per month, or just under $400 per month when ajusted for inflation.
Where can I make $15 an hour and have a mortgage for $400?

That burned-out house sold the same day.
It said they placed no value on the house and were selling it for the value of the lot and utilities, so if you have the fire department demolish it for free, how much would it cost to haul away the debris?
When I looked into getting a construction loan the guy said lots were too expensive and I couldn't even afford it--unless I only did a one-bedroom.
Then I would be paying too much for a one-bedroom!
Actually...
What about a large one-bedroom, where everything is the same size as they would be for a 3-bedroom--and the roof is only one angle, facing the sun?
Zillow doesn't show any houses under $200,000. It showed this 14 mile away, though: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8...67483782_zpid/

The best thing that I can say about it is that it is 4.67 Acres, but it sounds like the only utilities they have is electricity. Water can be connected and it just says Heating: Wood stove.
The only high-speed Internet providers are satellite, with Viasat offering 50 Mbps for $150 a month, throttling after 100 GB.
They push that limit to 150 GB for $200 monthly.
Each of those involves a $13 monthly modem rental.
I have used 56 GB on my laptop and 39 GB on my desktop in the last 30 days.
I wonder how much of that was Zoom. I usually use my laptop for personal stuff and even paperwork for my jobs because it is faster.
This guy isn't impressed with StarLink: https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/20...vent-cancelled

Demolition removal depends on truckloads and weight. Used to be 10 grand. Perhaps quadrupled today.

I tried to search for demolition removal in Show Low, but got Perkins Cinders, the place that delivered my mulch and gravel.
The house in Concho looks okay, but I would want to make many improvements, and since it is without proper heating, I would want to increase the insulation--on the outside, since it is already small, but I think that it would make more sense to squeeze a metal building into those 4-5 acres and use the existing building for a workshop.
Even for a workshop, it would need a lot of work.
This is a fixer-upper mobile home in-town on .27 acres, but how would I finance it?
At least the other one says owner may finance!
By the way, these are the legal requirements to turn a commercial shed into a tiny house in my county, but I am sure that my brother's SLP would have mentioned going through these hoops:

What about throw a 60ft dome over the smoldering ruin, refire everything in a rocket stove, compost the ash, pressure wash the inside of the dome, and build the interior walls out of rammed earth?
I've been looking for a 2nd party to do cost estimating on something like this. Maybe you're the guy?

My first instinct when homeless was to purchase a pickup and bed camper. Solves my transportation and housing needs in a tidy package.

I remember in Texas we went to walk from my brother-in-law's house to the store and several people pulled over to see if we were ok and if we needed a ride since in Texas there are no sidewalks and people don't walk or ride bikes like they do in Colorado, at least in the part we were at. Here I usually walk or take my bicycle to work every day.
One thing to look into in the job is the insurance loophole. With current laws, if the company has more than 50 employees (IIRC) they have to offer insurance to the worker that isn't more than some 9% or so of their income. They also have to offer insurance for their spouse and kids, but don't have to pay a cent of it. But if you get a job that pays for your insurance but not your families, you no longer qualify for insurance help for your family.
Of course a government job probably has benefits for the whole family. As long as I don't go postal.

I know a guy who lives in a camper trailer with his wife, kid and cat out in the forest. He has to move it every two weeks since you can't camp in one spot for longer than that in Colorado.

How large of a rocket stove would I need to burn the rest of a house?
I have read that homeless people who have vehicles struggle to find a place to park overnight.
The police like to show up and tell them to leave.
"Where will we go?!"
"Not my problem!"
You also may not be able to register a vehicle if you don't have a permanent address. I have read they don't accept P.O. boxes, but not all towns have mail delivery!
I guess that isn't their problem, either.
