I don't know who I was listening to that informed me of their cancelable offense; probably SA. That's the extent that I know.

They were asked for a character reference, provided it, and that is somehow obscene.

Don't know how they offered a sacrifice to the fake angry mob, but my preference is to add fuel for those determined to burn. They probably still enjoy being invited to Hollywood parties though, so they had a different calculus. Feigned contrition to preserve feigned friendships.

Here's the proper way to build rapport with Hollywood

With high quality pistons and cylinders available for under $200 USD for a set of 4, the original VW engine is cheap (and easy) to fix. I have the entire engine (maybe car) layout in my head. I could probably write down every piece of an entire Beetle or Super Beetle and be within 4 or 5 from the actual count.

You know I still see Beetles daily driven here. Some of those already over 50y.o. BTW.

When I'm out and about and see a nice Beetle, I'm a little saddened to be in the Metro.

I'd consider rebuilding the Superbeetle's engine myself, if it was out of the car. Last time I tried to jack it up myself I broke a Type III jack.

edit:
In the first row of results for 1600 heads, prices range from $180 to $800. ???

Sometimes I lurk about engine swaps for a Beetle, with a conservative profile in mind. Well, maybe a tiny Suzuki engine out of a Metro could be quite interesting as it's a featherweight, causing fewer stress to engine mounting points at the transmission case than Volkswagen's own EA827 which is still the most popular engine for swaps into classic Volkswagens here.

Personally, I lean toward a complete Arcimoto FUV drivetrain and A-arm suspension. The FUV has the same 4x100 bolt pattern so matching wheels (front to back) is easy.

Just searching around, I can't seem to find a 50,000 miles, 5-year-old Toyota Avalon hybrid for much less than $30,000 nation wide. Now I got my then 50k mile, 5-year-old Toyota Avalon hybrid for about half that 5 years ago.

Now, I know that not all cars have increased in price by 100% compared to pre-pandemic. But they sure have increased.

Looking at 5-year-old, 50k mile cars for $15,000 shows a lot of Mitsubishi Mirages, Kia Rios, maybe a Toyota Yaris or two, and a lot of Chevy Sonics and Ford EcoSports, at least in my search.

... and those prices should be for new cars, not 5 year old ones.

Get loose with the spending; inflate away the debt.
