If you are blessed with world class hydro, you can make effective electricity. If not, and you don't want to burn carbon fuels we should have kept working on the development of molten fuel reactors.
Definitely.

Another important point is efficiency.
CO2 does not equal well being.
Even plentiful energy does not equal well being. Only fulfilling the needs counts. Spillage, inefficiency, wastefulness are detrimental.

I dare even say that I 'm working on the efficiency of my means of transportation

In most places energy savings reduce carbon emissions by their full amount, as carbon fills in what nuclear and renewables don't cover.

The video I point toward in #5331

•If we reduce pollution to save 9 million lives, the global temp goes up 0.5 degrees
•Every seat on a NewYork-London flight melts 3 square meters of ice
•Forests will turn brown and green seas will turn blue

•We're at 1.1 degrees, 2 degrees is 'catastrophin' and 'genocidal', 4 degrees is anti-terra-froming
•Comment: joe i already forgot what randal [carlson] showed me rogan..
•No mention so far of Terra Preta
•3 Trillion/yr to capture all the carbon

Dangit, I'm listening to another 2hr podcast now. Don't really like Joe for science subjects cause he's a bit science ignorant, but the long format is perfect for letting people take their time to express their ideas.

Joe i-already-forgot-what-randal [carlson]-showed-me Rogan? I think it's an interviewing technique. He's as much an actor as Alex Jones.

The most jaw-dropping 21 minutes I've seen all day is The Brains Behind AOC Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by Mr Reagan. Since it's off topic you'll have to look for it on Youtube.

The clips of the final boss are pretty convincing.

I'd never seen Mr Reagan before. He has an interesting set— a bare table in front of a large undraped window with a laptop and another keyboard. Surrounded by lights and a big screen, he holds an Apple remote and switches between two cameras with it. The second camera is always moving but focused on him. Maybe it's on a Roomba?

CBS' 60-MINUTES climate piece

The 60-MINUTES piece was about Juliana vs The United States (Our Children's Trust lawsuit)
Julia Olson,Oregon attorney for the defendants, said this case is the 'most compelling case I've ever litigated in twenty years.'
They've accumulated 36,000 pages of federal documents, dating back to the the LBJ administration in 1965.
Every administration new about global warming.Every administration was briefed on global warming.
The US Government does not dispute any of the facts.Ms. Olson has government officials with their own words.
Atmospheric greenhouse gases are at levels not seen in 2.6-million years, impacting life,species,seal-level rise, food security, and an 'economic crisis that we have never seen.'
President Trump has attempted to block the court proceedings three times. If the case goes to trial,it will be judged solely on facts.
The next court date is June,2019.
The evidence is available for view @ 60 MINUTES Overtime

Another challenger for Tesla's powerpack and Don Sadoway's molten metal battery:
the all-iron flow battery.
https://arpa-e.energy.gov/?q=slick-s...n-flow-battery
https://www.essinc.com/energy-storage-products/

Only uses abundant elements, should last for 25 years, and if it spills plants will grow better.

Iris Hypothesis

I went to NASA.They had an article on it,dating to 2002,about Richard Lindzen's iris hypothesis of the 1980s.
There's nothing on it in contemporary scientific literature.
It looks like an MIT pedigree doesn't guarantee a free pass, when hypotheses goes up against a test.
Solar radiometers weren't very accurate in his day,and could be off by an order of magnitude, compared to 1999 and later instruments.
Lindzen wouldn't have had any fore knowledge about that.
We now know that the atmosphere performs a function, not unlike an iris.It has nothing to do with clouds.
When solar insolation is at maximum, atmospheric chemistry increases the ozone concentration in the stratosphere, which is opaque to much of the solar spectra, preventing the extra energy from coming through, cooling the planet during solar maximum.Opposite what one might intuit.

telluric currents

Volcanic activity can be triggered by earthquake seismicity, which is triggered by a stress relief and tectonic movement following the rupture of asperities within a fault network, all a consequence of plate subduction .
Water migration into a magma chamber can also trigger an explosive volcanic eruption.Magma can just melt a volcanic plug and allow magma to again flow.
The Earth dynamo and magnetosphere is considered a function of convection in the mantle (like a lava lamp).
It looks like the telluric currents occur within the lithosphere, underground and are affected by the magnetosphere, ionisphere and space weather.
They're also be impacted by the heliosphere in which the magnetosphere is embedded, and the galactosphere, and main group,etc..Everything's connected.

The Chinese are working on a low-cost,rechargeable,hybrid electrolyte, room temperature, sodium battery. In 2017,it had completed its initial phase of research.
