But where will we get the beer required to eat that quantity of peanuts?
...regarding moon power, I'm surprised this isn't the most sought after source of energy considering the consistency and predictability of the energy. Perhaps a side benefit would be to reduce wave-caused erosion and encroachment as sea levels rise (I know waves are wind generated vs tides moon generated).
...and I'm always surprised at your breadth of knowledge Freebeard. Your signature took me by surprise and got a LoL. You can't be that old if you know the song.

Yeah, there are several contributors around here make this place worthwhile. FB one of them. Ignore this site a while, then read what he's posted since your last visit. When he's on a tear it's John Brown out of the JS Currey mural. Cue John Sousa, The Thunderer
Don't let him tell you he's just twinkle-toes. Kindly old hippie from back up in the hills.
(Having pulled everyone's leg, I've no idea, in truth. But the posts are great).
FB: the 1957 recording of the Eastman Wind Ensemble. Frederick Fennell arranger and conductor.
I don't run those hills. But if I did, and came up on some ancient Bug with broken suspension or steering, yet the driver keeping it moving, going-to-get-it-home . . . I'd know whom I was behind. Plenty of drama going on behind that steering wheel. And skill. Fennell understand not just cadence, but spacing.

Unlike Captain America, I did not get that reference.
But I will look up the mural and the [march?]. Actually, the were rolling hills of wheat. And Oats and Vetch and Alfalfa and... The picture is of my brother's place. It's been in the family since 1867.
Concerning song, I have varied interests (Country and Western) but my favorite contemporary group would have to be The Kongos. Four brothers out of London by way of South Africa, recording in Pheonix, AZ. They have an unparalleled combination of - band
- song
- song-writing
- video editing
- 3D kinetic typography
I think the songs are [mostly?] written by their father, Johnny Kongos. I think he's as good as John Prine or Townes Van Sant.
Hey, Look! — It's The Lounge. Enjoy:

I'm not that tall.
2nd edit:
At 1:29 into Birds Do It (Official Lyric Video) — syncopated flamingos during the accordion solo.

This is among the first music videos I had ever watched. I viewed it on the internet, which is to say that it took a very long time to download.

My alma mater! One of them, anyway.
Of course, the Sousa archives happen to be here in Champaign, in the University's Bands Building across the street from the main library. It's on the other side of campus from the two music buildings, and the band department keeps to themselves, so we didn't make it over there much aside from a few research classes.

there seems to be a trend toward pop music and martial music, so...
Needs more bag-pipe.

It reminded me I hadn't discussed Fennell with my son. So I brought up the hometown Dallas Wind Symphony in a Fennell arrangement with a YouTube link. Then, to him conducting a Japanese orchestra in William Waltons, Crown Imperial, 1937 coronation piece. That old man smile at the end told it all.
Of course from there it's off to more Walton, then inevitably Elgar. Lux Aeterna [Nimrod] from Enigma Variations by the early A.M. texts.
Earlier this year it was, ". . arranged by Nelson Riddle". No ones ever been better at backing singers. And it's that a great voice doesn't always mean the best interpretation. (Great American Songbook, in main; pretty well a slam dunk if it's Riddle accompanying in a Cole Porter tune; Sinatra's rendition of Ive Got You Under My Skin; or maybe Judy Garland,Do I Love You? ). Been a blast texting this stuff back and forth.
There's an ad promo vid called, "Got You Under My Skin (Concert Collection)" re Franks concert films. At Studio A at Capitol? Riddle conducting. Not best version, but gives I'm pact of what was possible. The Europeans are hard to match what can be done with an orchestra. And, so are we. Funny they can't swing like we can.
But it's Harry James gets me out of bed these past couple of months.
Barn 12, one hot example.
(Is it actually music if electricity is required?)
After JFK died, quality itself dies. Three chords. Whoopee. Syncopated noise is what's left. Already long gone in the visual arts at that point.
Whole lot easier to deal with traffic where the music playing has enough sophistication to cover a number of observable patterns going on. Now I know ol' FB is gonna git that VW to the house, hell or high water. But coming down 12-14 gears behind him to almost dead slow is other than a chord change.

What about the computers that became self-aware and started making bad music?
I kind of like "Danger Boat," though.
